About
Radio Farda (RF) is an Iranian Persian-language international radio station launched in 2007. It is one of the projects of the Open Society Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting democracy and human rights in Iran. Radio Farda's programming includes news, current affairs, politics, culture and music, focusing on Iranian issues and perspectives.
The station's broadcasts can be heard around the world via the Internet and satellite, and it claims to have millions of listeners in Iran and the Persian-speaking diaspora. Radio Farda has been criticized by the Iranian government, which accuses the station of promoting propaganda against the country. However, the station denied these claims and said its goal was to provide objective, independent news and information to Farsi-speaking viewers.
